Travelling by camper is by far the best way to see Australia.
Australia is real camping country. The continent boasts thousands of
campsites. These campsites are situated in towns, at sea, on the
edge of the rainforest and off the beaten track. There are many
commercial campsites and caravan parks with good sanitary facilities,
kitchens and swimming pools. Many travellers stick mostly to the
beaten path and travel along the east coast. The average traveller
visits Australia for 3 or 4 weeks and wants to visit as many sights
as possible in that time, preferably on the east coast. Making a
good travel plan for such a short period is not easy. In practise
the trip turns out to be a disappointment, because many sights have
to be missed due to the tight schedule, and people misjudge the
distances involved. It is often better to visit a smaller area in
less time, and in this way to enjoy a more relaxed holiday.
Our camper tours are based on this theory.
You rarely travel large distances, and there are a few days built
into each tour for exploring the area or simply relaxing on the
campsite. You not only visit the tourist highlights during a tour,
but also little known places and National Parks. You spend the
nights at pre-booked campsites and caravan parks, usually with
electricity. Almost all campsites are wonderfully situated in
beautiful natural surroundings. Animals such as kangaroos, possums
and colourful birds are to be found on many campsites. You also have
the chance to see koala’s near a few campsites. Our tours are
international and suitable for everyone who enjoys camping and wants
to experience the country in the best possible way and for those who
enjoy the company of others. You do not travel in convoy and
you enjoy an easy travelling pace, so that you have time to plan the
day as you wish. A number of excursions are included in each tour.
During a tour you travel in a camper van belonging to a large
Australian camper rental company. Our preference lies with this
vehicle rather than a motorhome. To see why, go to our general
travel info page. Our tours are reasonably priced and are not much
more expensive than they would be had you organised everything
yourself. The choice is yours….
