Inland tour
The inland tour travels through Victoria, New South Wales and
southern Queensland.
For much of this tour you travel through landscapes of green rolling
hills, agricultural areas and eucalyptus forests. There are many
interesting towns along the route like Sorrento, Maldon, Deniliquin,
Hay, Forbes, Dubbo, Narrabri, Tamworth, Tenterfield and Warwick,
with many historical buildings. You also get to know a totally
different side of Australia. Drive along long straight roads without
a tree in sight. This is the Outback!
In Big Sky Country you can visit a cotton plantation, a koala
sanctuary or an astronomical observatory. One of the worlds most
beautiful coastal routes, the Great Ocean Road, is also included in
this tour. Enjoy the spectacular coastline.
If you travel in October or November, then with a bit of luck you
will see whales.
Travel through Grampians NP, the Riverina, New England or the
beautiful Warrumbungle Mountains, where you take an Aboriginal
Culture walk under the guidance of a National Park ranger. On the
way you can visit a waterfall, or walk through the rainforest.
Some parts of this tour route are breathtakingly beautiful and are
designated “scenic drives”. Kangaroos live on or nearby a number of
campsites, and you will see many different sorts of birds. On some
sites you can feed tame King Parrots. Take your place at the
campfire under a magnificent southern sky, where even the milky way
can be seen with the naked eye. One thing is certain, you will get a
good picture of the extensive Australian inland this tour.
